October 30, 2004 - Tamworth Branch ASH Show, Tamworth
- Silverthorn Springfield, Bob Murray's yearling filly, won a large yearling
filly class and went on to take out Reserve Champion Mare/Filly of the show.
- Silverthorn Cooee, Bob's two-year-old colt, placed a very respectable
third in his colt class.

we are looking forward to seeing him out and about in the near future.

17th October, 2004 - Gloucester Branch ASHS Led and Performance Show
- Judges, M/s Teena Bridge and Mr Bob Kildey.
Held at the picturesque Gloucester Showground in fine weather we experienced
another excellent day with our horses.
- Knights Jugaby won the Stockman's Turnout class and came fourth in the
open challenge.
- Silverthorn Madalyn took out Champion Led Mare and was placed third in the
working mare class.
- Silverthorn My Girl won her led class, came second in a huge class in the
maiden hack and third in the three-year-old snaffle bit.
- Silverthorn Country Music was came second in the yearling filly class and
went on to be Reserve Junior Champion.
- Silverthorn Springfield owned by Mr Bob Murray was first in the yearling
filly class and was Junior Champion.
- Silverthorn Standout, with his rider/owner Miss Caitlin Bowman, had a
pleasing day being placed with seconds in many of his classes.
- Silverthorn Moonlight with her rider/owner Miss April Docherty took out a
third in the huge maiden hack class against all ages. A very creditable
result for a three year old filly and an 11 year old rider.
- Our sires group of two representing Montcalm Luke - Silverthorn Country
Music and Silverthorn Springfield - were placed second.
- Our breeders group of three for Silverthorn Stud all by Montcalm Luke -
Silverthorn My Girl, Silverthorn Country Music and Silverthorn Springfield -
came first.

9th October, 2004 - Taree Show - Judged by Mr Tony Sherrin
Taree Show organisers put on a really great programme for the Australian
Stock Horses attracting many exhibits. This was an ASH feature show with
Silverthorn stock horses being placed all day with the following results:
- In the sires progeny group of three with the Montcalm Luke group,
Silverthorn Country Music, Silverthorn Springfield and Silverthorn My Girl
took first place.
- In the breeders group of two, the Silverthorn group of Country Music and
My Girl won the class.
- Silverthorn Country Music won her yearling filly class and went on to win
Champion Yearling and Supreme ASH Led Exhibit.
- Silverthorn Springfield owned by Mr Bob Murray, was placed second to
Country Music in the yearling filly class.
- Silverthorn Cooee owned by Mr Bob Murray took third place in the colt 2
and 3 years.
- Silverthorn Standout owned by Miss Caitlin Bowman won the Stock Horse
Junior Rider (ASHLA) and a second in the 3 year old snaffle bit working
class.
- Silverthorn My Girl was placed second in the filly 2 and 3 years and went
on to take out Reserve Champion Mare or Filly. In the 3 year old snaffle bit
working she took out first place, and in a big maiden hack class took out a
second.
- Silverthorn Madalyn came second in her led class, first in the mare hack
and second in the mare working. Mrs Carolyn Murphy rode her in a dressage
test and results are not yet to hand.
- Knights Jugaby was second in the stallion working class and then took out
Reserve Champion Working ASH. He acquitted himself well in his first
dressage test with Mrs Carolyn Murphy in the saddle - results are not yet to
hand.

3rd October, 2004 - Manning Valley All Breeds Hack Show and Horse
Spectacular - Judged by Mr Bill Catt
Another great day for Silverthorn Stud in the Stock Horse ring:
- In the yearling filly class Bob Murray's Silverthorn Springfield was
placed first with Silverthorn Country Music taking second place.
Springfield went on to win Champion Mare/Filly and Supreme ASH.
- Bob Murray's colt Silverthorn Cooee won his colt class and then
Reserve Champion Colt/Stallion.
- Silverthorn Country Music and Silverthorn Springfield took out first
in the Sire's Progeny Group of 2 (Montcalm Luke).
- Silverthorn Madalyn won her led class and then took out Champion ASH
Hack and Champion Working Horse.
- Knights Jugaby took out Reserve Champion ASH Hack.
- Miss Tiffany Green's three-year-old filly Celadon Evangeline by Montcalm
Luke, won Reserve champion ASH Mare/Filly and Champion Mare/Filly in the
Arabian Derivative class finishing up with Supreme Arabian Derivative
Exhibit.

2nd October, 2004 - Eastern Branch ASHS 31st Breeders and Performance
Championships held at Singleton - Judged by Mrs D Newberry
After a most successful day we ended up bringing home two of the major
trophies - Most Successful Sire with Montcalm Luke and Most Successful Dam
with Elle Astra. Other successful results that day were:
- Silverthorn Springfield was Reserve Champion Yearling.
- Silverthorn My Girl was Junior Champion Filly. Girl competed in hack
3 years and under for a first and a second in the novice hack n/e 15hh.
- Silverthorn Madalyn was Senior Champion Led Mare and Reserve
Champion Hack.
- Very impressive was young April Docherty (11-years-old) riding her
three-year-old filly Silverthorn Moonlight against all ages in the
hack classes and making it to placings.
- Silverthorn Country Music came third to Silverthorn
Springfield in the senior yearling filly in a class of eight.
- Judging in Silverthorn Cooee's ring was Mr R Folpp who awarded him
Reserve Champion Junior Colt or Gelding from 14 colts and geldings
catalogued.

(Singleton Show) - Judged by M/s H Eslick.
Our first Spring show and a good one:
-
Silverthorn Country Music, our yearling filly on her first outing, was placed
first in the yearling filly in a class of six.
- Silverthorn Springfield, owned by Mr Bob Murray, placed second to
Silverthorn Country Music, a placing that could have gone either way.
-
Silverthorn My Girl, now a two-year-old and her first day out under saddle had
an excellent day with a second in a class of six in the led ASH filly 2 years
and under 4 years, then first in the working filly 3 years and under, and second
in the open ASH hack not exceeding 15hh in a huge class of mares, stallions and
geldings.
- Silverthorn Madalyn, won her led mare 4 years and over, over 15hh; came
first in her open hack over 15hh in a very large class, third in the station
horse over 15hh; and second in her working ASH over 15hh, ultimately taking
Reserve Champion Australian Stock Horse under Saddle.
- Silverthorn Cooee, owned by Mr Bob Murray, placed first in his led ASH colt
2 years and under 4 years in a large class of colts and then on to take out
Reserve Champion Australian Stock Horse Colt/Stallion.
