Bulahdelah Show, November 18
A nice day weatherwise. Not as much competition as usual - not just in
the stock horse ring, but across the board for all breeds.
We had Knights Jugaby, Silverthorn My Girl, Silverthorn Country Music
and on his first outing, Silverthorn Walkabout (yearling colt by Knights
Jugaby from Montcalm Lea). A first event for youngsters is a big ask but
we were not disappointed in Walkabout who took in all the sights and
sounds in his stride and behaved himself perfectly. I must mention here
that we put a lot of time into our youngsters before an outing.
- Silverthorn Walkabout was placed second in his yearling colt class.
- Jugaby was reserve champion stallion/colt after placing first in his
led height class. With Kylie Blanch in the saddle he came second in
both the stallion hack and stallion working.
- Country Music, our two year old came second to Bob Murray's
Silverthorn Springfield. Springfield was also reserve champion
mare/filly.
- My Girl placed third in her led class to Country Music and
Springfield (three Silverthorn fillies in the lineup), and second in
the mare hack with April Spriggs on board and first in the working
mare and reserve champion working ASH. April and Girl also took out
first in the ASHLA event.
