Gloucester Branch ASHS Show

10th September 2016

Although we only took two horses to the Gloucester Branch ASHS Show held at Gloucester, we had a very successful show.

With us was our four-year-old stallion Silverthorn Man O War and the four-year-old mare Silverthorn Jubilee.

Despite having only been to a couple of shows last season, Jubilee was sashed Champion Led Mare from a nice line-up of quality mares; first place in Novice Hack, second place in Mare Hack, and second place in Novice Working. To top these excellent results, Brittany rode her to place second overall in the Open Challenge.

Man O War had outstanding results with Brittany, as usual, riding him to perfection. His results included Supreme Ridden; winner of the Open Challenge; Champion Hack; winner of Senior ASHLA; first in stallion under 15hh Working; and second in Led Stallion under 15hh.

Our congratulations to Debbie and Max Foster for their success with their two-year-old Silverthorn Shotgun gelding Smokin Gun, who was awarded Champion Led Two Year Old and then went on to be sashed Supreme Led.

Our thanks to the branch committee for a well-run and organised show.
