Knights Jugaby (Retired)

Jugaby is a powerfully built bay 15.2hh gelding.

He is a son of the great sire Warrenbri Romeo and is out of a successful race-winning thoroughbred mare Kasavina, granddaughter to the famous sire Nijinsky.

He is a very soft going, athletic horse and a pleasure to handle.

Until gelded, Jugaby produced some lovely foals for us characterising his great temperament and softness. They display their sire’s natural intelligence, are well muscled with great bone and have a great turn of speed. We have shown Jugaby since he was a two-year-old with great success in all disciplines. He is a multi Supreme Led and Ridden horse. Over the years he has won Championships in the Led, Working, and Hack rings including Supreme Led ASH at both Sydney and Canberra Royal Shows.

At Sydney Royal 2007 he was sashed Reserve Champion Led Stallion/Colt and was awarded high placings in his working and hack events. Many championships including High Point Horse of the Northern Branch ASH Show at Tamworth were won in 2009. Sydney Royal 2009 saw him once again in the limelight with Champion Led Stallion/Colt and more high placings in his hack and working events. Sydney Royal 2010 he stepped up again with firsts in the working stallion, stallion hack, open hack on curb bit, a second in the open hack on a snaffle bit and third overall versatile Australian Stock Horse of the show. Lightly shown in 2011 for several championships, and leading up to many high placings at Sydney Royal once again.

His sire:
The Warrenbri Romeo line is the most sought after bloodline of campdrafters in Australia. Progeny and descendants consistently top the ASHS sales.
