Such a nice week was had with Joe Lawrence and Emily McIllhatton McRae when they travelled with their horses all the way from Barmedman to spend some quality time with us. Joe had with him his chestnut gelding Silverthorn Oaks Adair (Silverthorn Eclipse x Crillee Amarillo Oak) and it was a treat to see how well he has his young horse going. It is heartwarming when these young people chose to spend their days with us – it is always a delight to have them in our home.
Paul, Brittany and Nathan have been busy with outside horses here for breaking-in and training. It is always very satisfying to reflect on the journey that each and every one of these young horses have taken us. In the space of four to six weeks, from arrival to departure, at the end of the day, we can confidently hand them back to their owners, knowing that they will go on to succeed in whatever discipline is expected of them
