Wallamba District Show

7th March, 2015
Judge: Lyn Knight

Wallamba Show is held at Nabiac on the Mid-North Coast – a relatively close one for us about an hour’s drive away.

Huge numbers in all six rings, certainly reflecting good, strong competition in all breeds, hacks and show jumping.

Surface condition of the working areas was reasonable but rough in patches.

We had our Australian Pony mare Amaranda Joyfull on board, together with Silverthorn Guns and Roses and Knights Jugaby.

Brittany and Guns and Roses had a smashing day winning Champion Led ASH Mare/Filly, Supreme Champion ASH, Champion led ANSA, Champion ASH Hack, Supreme Led Horse of Show, and Reserve Champion Working Horse. They also won ASHLA and ASH Working Mare.

Nathan and Jugaby are working well together winning a first in ASH Gelding Hack and a second in ASH Working Gelding. In the hack ring Nathan also won Champion Gentleman Rider 17 years and under 21 years, again on Jugaby.

Amaranda Joyfull (“Pony”), kindly shown by Sophie Upton, took out firsts in Australian Saddle Pony Mare 4 years and over, Part Bred Welsh Mare 4 years and over, Australian Pony (APSB) Filly/Mare and was then awarded Champion APSB Pony.
