Silverthorn Horsemanship Clinic

2nd and 3rd July, 2016

Our clinic in early July was, as usual, enjoyed by young and old, and with fine sunny days tempered by chilly frosty nights we couldn’t have wished for better weather.

We had an interesting mix of horses and ponies attending – several of these were first-time rides for their riders after having spent some weeks being broken-in here by us. Without exception, these youngsters behaved like seasoned mounts and gave their riders pleasant rides showing their owners what they could do. Added to the mix were young horses previously broken in here and a little further advanced, after having gone home and now back ready for new challenges of further training.

With a huge bonfire lit Saturday evening, we all found a spot around the glow and warmth of the fire to “chill out” and share life experiences. Without fail, our clinic participants always bring and share such interesting life experiences that we all come away with new perceptions of the world around us. Mealtimes and tea breaks are always another opportunity to connect with old acquaintances and to forge new lasting friendships. We always find the social side of these weekends is an integral part of the Silverthorn experience that is enjoyed by all.
Thank you, everyone, for your attendance ad feedback, we certainly enjoyed your company.

Next horsemanship clinic at Silverthorn will be on 27th and 28th of August, 2016 – contact us to secure a place.

Watch our upcoming events column for Paul’s South Australian Clinic on 13th and 14th of August.
