27th and 28th of August, 2016
The weekend of our horsemanship clinic on 24th and 25th of August was a big one with a record number of riders enjoying the opportunity to participate in the expert and varied coaching offered.
We were fortunate to have three coaches, Paul demonstrating groundwork, and coaching riders with hack, ASH working and hack/challenge, assisted by Brittany; Carolyn Murphy coaching hack; and Mark Ball coaching campdraft and cattlework. Tracey Jacobson set up a working equitation course which everyone enjoyed, turning their talent to challenge themselves to something new and different.
Despite forecasts of inclement weather, the days stayed fine, despite the cool nights.
As always the social side of these weekends is an integral part of the Silverthorn experience and refreshment breaks, lunches and the Saturday night evening meal and campfire are enjoyed by all.
Thank you, everyone for your attendance, we certainly enjoyed your company.
Next horsemanship clinics at Silverthorn will be on 24th and 25th of September and 29th and 30th of October, 2016.
Depending on numbers attending, three coaches, three disciplines – groundwork, hack, ASH working, hack/challenge, and campdraft. $150 per day per rider, $25 per day for non-riders all inclusive.
